Object of Introspect

presented works by  Sarita Westrup. and Tabatha DiLoreto .The show featured tactile sculptures and wall pieces that emphasize the use of a variety of materials.  The autobiographical works capture a moment in time in each artist’s life, her emotional experiences and identity. The reoccurrence of organic forms in the work reference the body and contrasts with the use of grid like structures that create them. Many of the materials and processes used in the work, reference caging and capturing as well as embodying the spirit of the subject matter. The artists look to a façade of their past identity in which they feel bound to for inspiration.
